We have all heard stories where the main character has no direction whatsoever and is suddenly steered to a particular path by a person or event and end up realizing their true potential. I had a similar start too. Like all other teenagers, I was also going with the flow, not really caring about where I would end up. I signed up for the music club in our college upon the insistence of my friends. But that incident changed my outlook towards life overnight. My priorities shifted, and I found something I was passionate about, a beat my heart wanted to follow.

Then came the campus placements accompanied by a wave of hustles and uncertainties. I was terrified at the thought of having to choose between a regular 9 – 6 job and exploring my newfound passion. I remember thinking, ‘Let’s get a foothold first and if I need to make that choice, well, I’ll deal with it then.’

And thus began my journey as a Brand Strategist at Mitsogo. Currently, I handle the events and webinars, and if I had to be honest, it can get quite hectic at times. With clients spread across the globe, I often have to juggle with my work hours.

But for the most part, I get to enjoy a job that doesn’t seep into my personal life. I have enough time during the weekdays and the entirety of the weekends to catch up with my social life as well as my passions.  Even though I might not have a job relevant to my passion while working in a tech-based company, I still get to experiment and explore the horizons. And with a team like mine that supports me every step of the way, it’s hard not to believe that I could pull it off.

When the company got together in late 2021 for the annual meet-up, I was the first to be suggested up the stage. And I realized that day that my team would always meet me halfway and that I only needed to take half the load. And from there on, I have been cherishing every single moment of my work life, having enough space to explore my passion and exploring newer ranges to my personal growth.

Unlike the stories where the characters know what they want by the time the story ends, I do not. All I know is that I don’t have to do it alone, and I won’t have to fight for my choices alone. I’ll have an entire team backing me up
